Are you curious to know more about my view on grief from a workplace perspective? Listen to the “Healthy Over 50” podcast episode where Liliane Roux and I talk about it: Grief Doesn’t Clock Out: Healing & Human Performance
I am Christine Nordhill, founder of Ponteme and a Certified Professional Coach. My professional background is in Human Resources, where I have worked with senior leaders, bluecollar workers and everything in between, in various industries. More than 20 years in various Human Resources positions taught me that my passion, and my strength, is about the connection with people and enabling them to grow into their full potential.
I had set out a path for myself that I was happy with and thought would last, until something completely unforeseen happened. In the middle of our life together, when my husband Kalle was 44 years old, he had a sudden cardiac arrest and died. And there we were, our children, our dog and I, in a forever changed world.
From what initially felt like bottomless despair, a desire was born to find something meaningful again, in an existence that felt meaningless. I gradually realized that it is not about finding meaning in a tragedy that no explanation in the world can justify, but about finding new meaning in what comes afterwards.
Another insight that struck me was that what is meaningful changes over time and that, yes, the old saying is true – “change is the only constant”. Our lives are marked by change, small and large, joyful and frightening… So how can we find the courage and what tools are needed to implement the changes we can control and want? And how can we learn to let go of the things we cannot control, and find hope and direction when we ourselves have not chosen the change? Curiosity about these questions led me to explore transitions, change and grief more deeply – both personally and professionally.
Over the years, working closely with individuals navigating major life transitions, I noticed that grief often extends beyond personal life and quietly affects teams, leaders, and organizations. It can influence performance, collaboration, and decision-making – yet it is rarely spoken about or addressed. This observation led me to focus on grief in the workplace, working with HR teams, leaders, and organizations to create language, structure, and strategies that allow them to respond thoughtfully and sustainably.
How I work
Organizations & Teams
I work with HR professionals, leadership teams, and organizations that want to strengthen their ability to respond to complex human realities – especially grief in working life. My work focuses on creating shared language, providing practical structure, and offering frameworks that allow organizations to support people and maintain performance. This currently includes workshops, talks, and leadership conversations.
Individual Coaching
I also support individuals navigating life and professional transitions. Using Life & Transitions Coaching and the Core Energy Coaching™ process, I work to uncover the root causes of challenges and generate meaningful, sustainable results. Coaching can be delivered in English or Swedish.
My values
I am guided by values of integrity, authenticity, curiosity and courage. These values apply in all environments and I am just as comfortable in a small one-on-one private meeting as in international corporate settings.
And the company name?
Ponteme comes from the latin word for “bridge” – a link to a new destination, new encounters and a new future. Each journey is individual and I look forward to accompany you – whether personally or organizationally – on yours.
